After more than 50 years of competitive golf at all levels, I was skeptical of club fitting enhancing my golf experience. It came as quite a surprise that I now believe a well made forged blade is actually easier and more forgiving to play! Not to mention it also produced a more precise dispersion of the golf ball with added distance. In my fitting session with Mr. Butler located in Half Moon Bay, California, all the TrackMan numbers improved because of his immense scientific knowledge and deep passion for his technology utilizing the pieces of handmade art from Mr. Miura. Each time I hit, there was a strong ball flight, soft landing and the transfer of feel of the impact into my hands. I felt the shape of every ball I hit. That feel is a combination of the Miura special edition "small blade" along with the proprietary M80 shaft and Mr. Butler’s ability to fit me as an individual. Even though the numbers were staggering I have to say it goes beyond that. For the first time in my life, now when I play golf I actually experience the subtle caring that went into each club which is truly a piece of art. It doesn’t get any better! Mr. Butler, Thank you for the clubs. I wanted to let you know the clubs are great. The woods are working very nice. They are straight and my Miura driver averages 300 yards. The hybrid is straight but a little hard to get up in the air, but like you said, it would be perfect in the wind. As for the Miura Blades, I think its up to me to practice and play more to fully understand what club goes how far with what swing (half,3/4,full). I also wanted to let you know that I played in a tournament for Golden State Tour at Westin Mission Hills (Dye) and shot two under 68. It was my second round with these clubs and looking forward to what the future brings. Thank you, Kentoku Eda |
